For Jen, that belief is deeply personal. As a disabled business owner, she carries strength, perspective, and determination into everything she does. She knows what it means to meet challenges with creativity, persistence, and heart, and to keep showing up for something she loves.
Over the years, Jen and her team have given so much of themselves to their work. They have watched children grow, helped families celebrate birthdays and milestones, supported local organizations, built friendships, and shared everyday moments with their customers.
After years of owning and operating a specialty toy store in Sarasota, Jen and Jon felt called to take everything they had learned — the lessons, the relationships, the joy — and build something bigger, better, and completely their own.

It is an independent toy store shaped by honesty, hard work, hope, and the kind of lessons that come only from giving your heart to something day after day. Behind the name is not a big corporation or a faceless company. It is a local family, a dedicated team, and a woman determined to keep building something meaningful — something she and her team can be proud of.
At its heart, Cosmic Critter Toys was created from the belief that even when life changes your plans, there is still room to adapt, dream bigger, and find a new way forward.
We carry plush critters, games, figures, crafts, collectibles, and yes, LEGO. We are not a LEGO store. We are a whole universe of toys on Clark Road.
